||Our mission is to heal the wounds, to restore dignity, hope and self-sufficiency to all homeless Veterans in need and to significantly reduce homelessness and poverty among our local Veterans.
||NORVHN operates “Sarge’s Place”, an emergency shelter located in Forks, Washington where we have a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs for 12 beds to serve those who have served honorably in the military, are homeless and poor. We own a family 4-plex apartment building in Port Angeles called “The Outpost” which is permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless Veterans and their families. This project comes with a VA Social Worker attached to the families. We also own “Camp Sol Duc” a 2-apartment house in Forks which is also permanent supportive housing which comes with case management and therapeutic care. It is upon this same property that we operate an expansive Veteran garden - "Sarge's Farmstand" and a secondhand store - "Sarge's Attic" both of which are open to the public.
